The mystery bag of 42nd Street
Harry contacted me with a bit of mystery. Perhaps you can help him out.
We were doing yard work last Saturday when I went to my city super can in the alley behind our house on West 42nd Street.In the can was a white paper bag with the name Martha Newell handwritten on it - (see above). What makes this a mystery is that Martha sold the house back in 2001 and she passed away in about 2008. I’ve asked some of my neighbors about this and no one knows anything about it. But everybody thinks this is VERY strange…(cue The Twilight Zone theme). I’m not sure if this is anything H&H would be interested in, but I’m very curious if anyone knows who put it there and what it was for.
